It is the end of the 18th century, the time of the industrial revolution in Scotland. By building the largest seaport, the village of Glasgow has quickly transformed into one of the most important trading cities in Europe.
In this 2-player game, it is your task to build 16 new buildings to prepare Glasgow for the modern era. Each building yields points and the player with the most points wins the game.
Players move through the city to collect resources, perform special actions and especially to build buildings. Before the game, tiles with city residents on them are placed in a circle on the table. These residents offer resources such as bricks, steel or money, with which buildings can be built or let you perform a special action.
Both players build together on one city. As soon as the sixteenth building has been built, the game is over and players score points for what they have built. It is up to the players to determine the tactic with which they think they will score the most points.
